By Saturday, April 11, 2009 more than 8,150 runners and walkers had registered to take part in the 2009 Papa John's 10 Miler. Participants came from 29 states and Russia to compete in the fifth largest 10-mile race in the country and what Runner's World has named one of the top six 10-mile races in the country.

As the final leg of the Louisville Triple Crown of RunningSM, presented by Novo Nordisk, Papa John's has sponsored the 10 Miler for ten years. Each year enthusiasm and participation grows resulting in record-breaking numbers.
Papa John's 10 Miler net proceeds benefit the WHAS Crusade for Children. The proceeds from all three of the Louisville Triple Crown of Running races totaled a record $128,880 for the Crusade this year! Papa John's is looking forward to once again contributing to such a worthwhile cause following the April 3, 2010 running of the 10 miler.
