Papa John's, John and Annette Schnatter Make $10 Million Commitment to
U of L Stadium Expansion

Papa John's Cardinal Stadium's title sponsor has given the stadium project a major financial push. Louisville-based Papa John's, and its founder John Schnatter and wife Annette, have committed $10 million toward the expansion of Papa John's Cardinal Stadium, the home for the Cardinals' football program. The expansion project will increase the seating capacity of the stadium by 21,000.

As the Official Pizza of U of L Athletics, Papa John's has been continuous supporter of the University of Louisville. Over the past 10 years, Papa John's and the Schnatter's have contributed over $20 million to the university. Papa John's and the Schnatter's made the lead donation of $5 million when the stadium was first being built in 1996, granting Papa John's naming rights until 2033. With the expansion donation, the naming rights have been extended until 2040.
